In a few words...
Two elderly people are sitting on a bench faded by time. They are trying to fit the pieces of their lives, to the rhythm of the seasons. Disordered fragments of memories that have broken away and end up in the middle of nowhere as though, one morning, they had woken up with their whole lives behind them. Their minds are all twists and turns, they mix all the pieces of a puzzle into a dance where the atmosphere is one of exuberant disorder.
There are so many little nothings in one’s life, familiar to everyone and at the same time unique in the way they are lived: the first snow, dead leaves crunching under footsteps, a loving gaze on a warm summer night, and the soft green that is reborn every spring... Childhood, youth, adulthood, old age, like in a 4-step waltz, both characters write a new story made from their minds' bells and whistles.
Two elderly people are sitting on a bench, watching the time go by. The eyes of some are turning to the others, suggesting spaces where bonds are made and broken. What if the child we once were met the oldster we were to become? All stages of life may differ on the surface, but they do share many similarities, because our heart never gets old. We all live the same emotions, the same fears, the same concerns; we are bound by this incredible ability to dream and by the search of happiness inherent to all human beings...
What if time was only an illusion?
Maybe there is, at the very heart of our existence, a poem that wishes to be heard, a simplicity that wishes to be lived, a space beyond time that awaits our visit and where we can connect with the very meaning (the essence) of life.
"Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift that is why it is called the Present"
